The Hortus project (1996) was born after the radical transformation of the city of Barcelona due to the 1992 Olympic Games.

Four years after completing the major communication routes that connect the city (Rondas), the hortus project investigates and documents the recovery of vegetation between overpasses, bridges, tunnels and sidewalks. “Hortus conclusus”, small gardens that are born between the cement as elements of life and subversion.

The works that are created for this project are architectural elements that are coupled to the architecture of the exhibition spaces where they are displayed.
